Sleep as currency

Even with all the classes and work I have to do, I managed to find time to watch the LA Kings defeat the New Jersey Devils in game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals.  It was quite simple: I traded 3 hours of sleep for 3 hours of leisure time to watch tv.  I went to work somewhat sleepy today, but it was well worth it.

What would you trade your sleep for?

  1. Nothing...I am not very productive without sleep, although at the end of term sleeping becomes a luxury!!!

  2. My biggest sins are gluttony and sloth. I love to sleep, but during the quarter breaks when I finally have time to truly indulge in entertainment, I do what my brother trained me to do since young. That is, rotting my brains out on video games and anime. The longest I've ever stayed up was 3 days and I thought my eyeballs were going to pop out from the massive pressure building up behind my corneas.O_O That was the first and last time I ever stayed awake that long. Ahh yes, with each post/reply I reveal more and more of my immaturity, but I'm not going to change my hobbies. I like what I like. =b

  3. I'm with "Happy :)" - I love getting sleep. During the week, I get up at 6:00am and since I'm naturally a night person, I try to train myself to go to bed early, but that doesn't always happen. So, sometimes I get only five or six hours and have to push through the day on that. But on the weekends, when I get a full eight or nine hours??? I feel like a million bucks!! That said, I would trade sleep for a fun adventure, like seeing a great band or camping and talking to good friends all night (not that I often do that, but I'd love to).
